| Restaurant Hints & Tips:
In the US Waiters and Waitresses are paid very
badly (more or less $2 an hour!) and they rely on tips, but
because of this their service is impeccable. Usually at least
15% is expected, so allow for this, but in an upscale restaurant
expect to leave even more.
Some restaraunts won't take bookings in advance
and others won't after a certain time, but almost all get really
booked up especially in peak season so expect a wait of 30
minutes or so, and eat early if you can. |
